Timber Creek Library Information
*Hours of Operation:

*Phone Number is 816-892-1957
*Staff: Heather Poland, Full Time Library Media Specialist and Susan Sullivan, Part Time Library Media Assistant
*All K-Grade 3 students are allowed to checkout 2 books for 2 weeks. After 2 weeks if the student is not done reading the book, they will need to bring the book to library to recheck. The only exception would be unless the student still has book out from last year, then he/she will be limited to one book and required to keep the book at school. Grade 4 students are able to checkout 3 books, one being nonfiction.
*At the beginning of the school year the first few library lessons are devoted to proper book care and picking good fit books. Students are responsible for their library books. If for some reason a book gets damaged or lost, they are responsible for paying for the book so it can be replaced for other children to enjoy.
*Our library is now part of the specials rotation schedule. Students will receive library instruction when they come in during the specials rotation. In addition each class comes weekly to checkout new books. Class scheduled days:
Monday: Farrell
Tuesday: Emry, Copenhaver, Wallace, Coldiron
Wednesday: Carr, Ramirez, Milligan, Noirfalise
Thursday: Johnson, Halvorson, Mitchell, Marolt, Cohee
Friday: Testerman, Dusselier, Hutchin, Newkirk, Elmore
*Our school has a subscription to PebbleGo, Facts4Me, Tumblebooks and Encyclopedia Britannica. They are great reliable resources for gathering information and learning. Click on the Student Resource tab to pull up log in and description information.
*Our library has a Parent/Family Resource section. Parents are welcome to come in and check out any books specifically in that section or anywhere in the TC library. The Parent/Family Resource section contains books about: positive discipline, raising children with learning disabilities, raising readers, books about virtues and self esteem, books dealing with the death of an animal, even books about amazing places to visit, and many more.
